Spiritgrove is the space in which I bring my creative visual images to life. It holds inspiring photographs from nature, a fantasy fairytale world, and images that are meaningful to family, friends and community.

Spiritgrove began as a fun hobby in 2003, evolved into a professional portrait studio business from 2005 to 2008, and was renewed as personal creative endeavor when the studio closed at the end of 2008.

My own journey with art and visual images began as a child, with parents who encouraged and modeled creative pursuits. I studied art and design at the University of Wisconsin and portrait techniques in the Professional Photography program at Hennepin Technical College.

Visual images have deep personal meaning for me. They reflect the love of family and friends and provide a space to explore spirituality and and magic with imagery not bound by time, space or physical reality. "Spirit" means all of those things to me, and "grove" is a place for life to grow. Spiritgrove symbolizes the magical, the natural, and the spiritual, brought together in joyful creative play.
